30 days to change your mind
If a part isn't right, you have 30 days from the day it's delivered to start a return.
To come back to us, a part needs to be:
- Uninstalled. Not bolted on, not wired in, not test-fitted in a way that leaves marks.
- Unused. No trail dust, no scuffs, no cut zip ties, no trimmed wiring.
- In its original packaging, with everything that came in the box — hardware, adapters, instructions.
Parts that come back installed, modified, or missing pieces can't be refunded. We'll ship them back to you at your cost if you want them returned.
How to start one
Email support@lsmotoparts.com with:
- Your order number
- Which part you're sending back
- Why it's coming back
We answer within 1 business day. You'll get a return authorization and the address to ship to. Don't ship anything back before you have that — parts that arrive unannounced can't be matched to an order and can't be refunded.
Most of our parts ship direct from the manufacturer or distributor, so the return address is often not our address. Always use the one on your authorization.
Who pays the shipping
We pay — and send you a prepaid label — if we sent the wrong part, it arrived damaged, or it's defective.
You pay if you changed your mind, ordered the wrong part, or it doesn't fit. Original shipping charges aren't refunded on a change-of-mind return.
There's no restocking fee either way.
What we can't take back
- Lithium batteries and battery packs. Federal rules classify these as hazardous materials — they can't legally travel back through normal mail or parcel ground service. Battery problems are handled as warranty claims instead (below).
- Electrical parts that have been installed — controllers, displays, wiring harnesses, ignition and throttle components. Once powered up, we can't verify or resell them.
- Anything cut, drilled, painted, or otherwise modified.
- Custom and made-to-order items — custom colours, cut wraps, anything built to your spec.
- Clearance and final-sale items, marked as such on the product page.
- Gift cards.
Damaged when it arrived
Email us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage and the box it came in. Carriers deny claims without packaging photos, so take them before anything goes in the trash. We'll replace the part or refund it — your choice.
Defective parts and warranty
Parts are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. If something fails:
- Inside 30 days of delivery — contact us and we'll handle it as a return.
- After 30 days — contact us anyway. We'll put you in touch with the manufacturer and help push the claim through.
Warranty does not cover wear items (tires, brake pads, chains, sprockets, bearings), crash damage, water damage, or parts run outside their rated voltage or amperage. Running a controller or battery above its spec voltage ends the warranty on it immediately.
Fitment is on you — but we'll help
E-moto parts are model- and year-specific, and a Sur-Ron LBX part often will not fit an Ultra Bee or a Talaria. Check fitment before you order. If you're not sure, email us first — we'd rather answer a question than process a return.
A part that doesn't fit is a change-of-mind return: returnable under the terms above as long as it's uninstalled.
Exchanges
We don't process direct swaps. Return the part you don't want and place a new order for the one you do — that way you're not waiting on our return to land before yours ships.
Cancelling an order
Email us as soon as you can. If the order hasn't been sent to fulfillment we'll cancel it and refund in full. Once it's fulfilled it becomes a return.
When you get your money
Once the returned part is received and inspected, refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank sets the pace after that, not us.
If it's been more than 15 business days since we approved your return and nothing's landed, email us and we'll chase it.
